“Every now and then, you find people who go so far above and beyond that they need some recognition. We have a beautiful, well trained dog, but he is so fear agressive....Two weeks ago, even after dealing with him during an attempted nasal vaccination, which he was having no part of, they boarded him for a week for us. Once they gave up on the vaccine, he was fine with them. He got it later. During the week, they had surgery scheduled. They had to work with an unmedicated, un-muzzled dog. It took an army to get the iv in. Surgery was done. The rest of the week, he was really good for them, and he made friends with them. Today, I took him back to remove sutures. We did it with three women and no iv sedation. As soon as she was done, we took the muzzle off and he laid right down on the floor, content.

I don't know what makes people want to be a vet or vet tech. I don't know why they are willing to help these critters, but I am grateful they do. If you need a great vet with an amazing staff, go to Heartland Veterinary Clinic in Oxford. I love them.”
